This song was written for a conference given in September 2004.
1. Once I lived in
full rebellion,
Living as God's enemy.
Christ has died, in full submission,
Now of heaven's my citizenry.
Chorus: Jubilee! Jubilee!
Shout "O man you can be free!"
Now because of our Redeemer,
All can have the Jubilee!
2. Toiling under sin in slavery,
Death, the old creation ends,
What a God, a Savior lowly,
New creation now begins.
3. All of mankind lost God's presence,
Price so great that none could pay.
Gracious words from our Man‑Savior
Separation ends today.
4. Lifeless, cut off from God's flowing,
And His life no more expressed.
Christ restored organic union,
God's
life flowing free and fresh.
5. What a
gospel to us given—
Daily t'all the earth proclaim.
Local
churches, God's own Kingdom,
Let's
raise up in His dear name!
6. Chosen race, a royal priesthood,
Nation Holy unto God.
God's possession constituted,
With His virtues; tell abroad.
7. Holy
City stands etern'lly,
God
in man is testified.
Come
and drink the water freely,
Says
the Spirit and the Bride.
