1. God's Word declares there is none
righteous, not one;
Unholy, lawless, all are filled with sin;
Profane, ungodly none can match God's glory.
Mankind is dark and empty deep within.
But Jesus came, God's
glory manifested,
Author of life, the holy, righteous One.
He cut the way by treading on the serpent.
And now the sinners can become God's sons.
2. God had created mankind in His image;
Placed him before the tree of life to eat.
But man was cheated by the subtle serpent
And took in death, it seemed it was defeat.
3. Before the tree a three-fold guard was posted,
Of Cherubim and flaming, turning sword:
God's righteousness and holiness and glory
Now blocked all men from joining to the Lord.
4. Jesus today is life and resurrection.
He is the way. He is the tree of life.
His blood was shed, now sin is not a problem.
Believe in Him, partake eternal life.
And day by day His
presence boldly enter,
The Living Way is always there for you.
Behold His face, be filled up with His glory,
Dwelling in God and God dwelling in you.
