THE BOOK YOU EAT Jeremiah found His words and ate them. Both Ezekiel and John were given a scroll to eat. Did they eat a literal book? The first story in the Bible about man is of his eating of certain trees, one giving eternal life and the other death. The Bible ends with a blessing on those who keep the words of the prophecy of the scroll, and of the right to eat of the tree of life. Is there a literal tree that gives eternal life?
Consider: In the Bible Jesus is called the Word of God. In the Bible Jesus says: He is the vine tree. He is the bread you eat to have eternal life. His words are spirit and life. If you keep His words He will come and dwell in you. Dear reader, the Bible is
the Book you should eat. Hidden behind the black and white is the
very God Who is spirit and life. If at this moment there is a hunger
in your heart to know this God, ask Him to come in right now. Say,
"Lord Jesus, My heart is empty. All the wrong in my heart that
separates me from You, please take it away. I want You to be my
life. I want You to live in my heart." by Norman J Minahan |
