I wrote this for our going out door to door in Detroit neighborhoods during the Easter season. Originally formatted to open as a half sheet folding flyer.

H

e is not here, for He has been raised,...
go...tell...that He has been raised from the dead,...

Matt 28:6

“Behold the Lamb of God,” (John 1:30a) was the declaration concerning Jesus.

“Because God so loved the world He gave His only begotten Son,”
(John 3:16a) to be the Lamb to “take away the sin of the world.” (John 1:30b)

He was the “One crucified”
(1 Cor. 2:2) for us. This Jesus “died for our sins.” (1 Cor. 15:3)

“He was buried”
(1 Cor. 15:4a) but He did not remain in the tomb. He was raised on the third day (1 Cor. 15:4b)

Today we do not need to die for our sins. One has already taken our place. (2 Cor. 5:14)

We just need to believe into this crucified and resurrected Jesus.

“That if you confess with your mouth, Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved." (Rom. 10:9)

Once I stood in condemnation,
Waiting thus the sinner’s doom;
Christ in death has wrought salvation,
God has raised Him from the tomb.
Once I was to God a stranger,
Filled with enmity and fear;
He has rescued me from danger,
Love revealed and brought me near.

Now I have a life in union
With the risen Lord above;...
